General Notes:
On November 2, 1911 Mr. Lasher married Margaret Truitt, and they live at No. 618 Woodward Avenue, Wickboro, where Mr. Lasher has erected a fine brick residence. They have one child, Humes, who was born in 19I2. Mr.and Mrs. Lasher attend the Reformed Church. He is a Republican in political questions, but not active in public affairs, and fraternally he belongs to the B. P. O. Elks and the Blue Lodge, F. & A. M., at Kittanning.
John H. Lasher, son of Wyland, was born June 29, 1886, near Adrian, in Washington Township, where he was reared, obtaining his education in the common schools. He then went to Pittsburgh, where he learned the trade of painter, remaining in that city for four years. Then, in August, 1907, he came to Kittanning, where he has since been engaged as a contractor, his business headquarters being in the Heilman building. He employs from three to seven men, as the work requires, and has done some of the best work in the borough, including the decorating in the Steim Hotel, all the streetcar work, the work in the new M. E. Church, and other important local contracts. He also had the painting and decorating of the Haskell building in East Brady, Pa. Mr. Lasher is a member of the union, and has the only union shop in Kittanning.

Lasher. Born in Adrian, Armstrong County, on June 29, 1886, he was the son of Wyland and Catherine (Frick) Lasher. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret (Truitt) Lasher. Surviving are one son Judge Lasher; two grandchildren and two great - grandchildren; one sister, Minerva (Lasher) Shaffer of Kittanning; and one brother, Dr. L. A. Lasher of Erie. Services were held for Mr. Lasher on July 27 at the Liningers Funeral Home, Curwensville, Pa. Burial followed in Hawthorn Cemetery.

CURWENSVILLE - John Harvey Lasher, 85, formerly of Pittsburgh and Curwensville, died in Fort Lauderdale Fla., Friday morning. He was born in Pennsylvania June 29. 1896. For the last five years he has lived in Fort Lauderdale with his son, Humes. In addition to his son, he is survived by two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren: a brother, Dr. Lemuel Lasher of Erie; and a sister, Mrs. Edward Shaffer of Kittanning. He was preceded in death by his wife. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a. m. from the Russell H. Lininger Funeral Home. Burial will be made in Hawthorne Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 p m. Sunday until time of services Tuesday.
