90 Cemetery: Hoover Cemetery (Duncan Township, Sullivan, Missouri, USA), Cit. Date: 30 May 2006. Surety: 3. The Hoover Cemetery is north of Browning, Mo., going west from Browning 1/2 miles, thence north nearly 1 mile and east off the road nearly 1/4 mile. The road is an all season gravel road from Browning to the last 1/4 mile. The cemetery is well fenced and there has recently been some work done, straightening stones and leveling around graves. This list prepared by Maud Morris, Browning, Mo., in 1950.

In 1997 there is a pair of double gates to the last 1/4 miles of the cemetery. A new sign reading Hoover Cemetery has been placed at the double gates. Due to vandalism the double gates have been locked but the key can be found by contacting cemetery board members. I have made a personal inspection of the cemetery and found this 1950 list may be better than one made today for the older stones. The 47 years of weather and the 1993 rains have made a lot of the older stones hard to read. Steve Pfeiffer, Browning, Mo. 1997. I have a copy of the cemetery listings.

The Hoover Cemetery is north of Browning, Mo., going west from Browning 1/2 miles, thence north nearly 1 mile and east off the road nearly 1/4 mile. The road is an all season gravel road from Browning to the last 1/4 mile. The cemetery is well fenced and there has recently been some work done, straightening stones and leveling around graves. This list prepared by Maud Morris, Browning, Mo., in 1950.

In 1997 there is a pair of double gates to the last 1/4 miles of the cemetery. A new sign reading Hoover Cemetery has been placed at the double gates. Due to vandalism the double gates have been locked but the key can be found by contacting cemetery board members. I have made a personal inspection of the cemetery and found this 1950 list may be better than one made today for the older stones. The 47 years of weather and the 1993 rains have made a lot of the older stones hard to read. Steve Pfeiffer, Browning, Mo. 1997. I have a copy of the cemetery listings.

The cemetery is very small (20 - 25 graves), and very unkempt. The current owners are not descendants, and have never done anything with it. It's in very poor shape with many stones laying on the ground, many unreadable, and many small homemade ones that only have initials on them.
