bullet  General Notes:

During theCivil War, John Theodore was with General Sheridan on his ride from Winchester to Cedar Creek.
Re-enlisted as Union soldier in1863. Was a railroad engineer; fired first locomtive west of Mississippi that had air brake on it. Filed on land in Miller (now Artesia), NM in1889. Spent 20 years railroading then opened a restaurant. Buried along with one brother and sister in Old Cemetery at Carlsbad, NM.
