OBITUARY

Helen Riggan
(October 10, 1914 - February 23, 2008)

Helen (Reid) Riggan, age 93, of Leola passed away February 23, 2008 at HSC Medical Center. She was born October 10, 1914 in Leola the daughter of W.A. "Doonie" and Dessie (Heard) Reid. She was a homemaker, a member of the Leola Church of Christ, and the Grant County Home Demonstration Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elton F. Riggan, to whom she was married June 7, 1932; an infant son, Brete Riggan; sisters, Dessie Perkins, Lucy Barker, and Cora Talbert; brothers, Bob and L.B. Reid; and son-in-law, Robert Raney.

Survivors are son, Norman D. Riggan and wife, Donna of Leola; daughters, Jasmine Elliott and husband, Lesil of Malvern, Elaine Raney of Fordyce, and Pat Riggan and husband, Tommy of Leola; special caregiver, Sylvia Perry of Lono; thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 26th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Regency Funeral Home in Malvern.

Services will be Wednesday, February 27th at 2:00 p.m. in the Regency Chapel with grandson, Scott Riggan and Howard Easterling officiating. Interment will follow at Brush Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers are grandsons, Cole Dugan, Nick and Andy Paladino, Gaylon Raney, and Kyle and Tony Riggan. Honorary pallbearers are grandson, Dale Riggan, and great-grandsons, Ross, Reid, and Anthony Riggan, Jacob O'mary, Grant and Daniel Raney, Cooper Sherbert, and Dalton Dugan. Arrangements are by Regency Funeral Home.
