OBITUARY -- Ethel Margaret Slee
Ethel Margaret Truitt Slee, 91, of New Bethlehem, died Wednesday at Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Jan. 1, 1914, in Deanville, Armstrong County, she was a daughter of the Charles C. and Dora P. Rhoades Truitt.
Mrs. Slee was a member of the Distant Baptist Church, the Craft Club of Distant and the Deanville Mission Circle. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and playing Bingo.
She was married on July 25, 1935, to John Howard Slee, who preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 1983.
Surviving are three daughters, Doris Louise Martz and her husband, Raymond of Hawthorne, Faye Isabell Hepler of New Bethlehem and Shirley Joan Shick of Kellersburg; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; one sister, Mable Adams of New Bethlehem; two brothers, Don Truitt of Millport and Ralph Truitt of Deanville.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Pearl Marie Slee; a son, John Charles Slee; a sister, Hulda Hinderliter; seven brothers, Verd, Torrence, Edgar, Ernest, Hubert, Delbert and Glenn Truitt; two son-in-laws, Calvin Hepler, and John Hilton Shick.
Interment will be in the Kellersburg Methodist Cemetery. 1827
