He and Ada moved from Quincy, Lewis, Kentucky, USA about 1916. Lived in Portsmouth, Scioto, Ohio, USA, less than a year, moved to Russell County, Kentucky, USA, lived there until spring of 1919, when they moved to Worthington, Greenup, Kentucky, USA. Stayed there until 1940 when they moved back to the old family farm at Quincy, Lewis, Kentucky, USA and built a new house. It was to be their retirement home. Ada died in 1943 at Quincy, Lewis, Kentucky, USA. Charles stayed there until 1953, when he became tired of living alone. He moved to Ironton, Lawrence, Ohio, USA and lived with Ada Mildred Truitt until his death in 1962. 1770
