Data taken from letters of Mary Ann Wagley(?) and Hiram Tatman's widow, who did not state her maiden name. Both said Nehemia was a cruel man and that Priscilla lived a miserable life, that Nehemia remarried after the death of Priscilla and had another family. That Priscilla died when the children were quite young. Hiram and Cary were reared by their grandparents, Samuel and Sarah Truitt, Mahala by her uncle Eli Truitt as his child and given his name. She is listed with the family of Eli. Nancy was "afflicted and fell into shallow water during a seizure and drowned." 1719
