Worcester County Deeds GMH No. 7, pages 168-174

This Indenture made this Seventh day of September In the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and forty three between James Killey and Elizabeth Killey his wife of Worcester County in the State of Maryland of the one part and William Laws of the County and State aforesaid of the other part, witnesseth that For and in Consideration of the Sum of Fifty dollars Current money by the said William Laws to the said James Killey and Elizabeth Killey his wife in hand paid at and before the Sealing and Delivering of these presents, the receipt of which they doth hereby acknowledge and themselves to be therewith Fully Satisfied contented and paid the said James Killey and Elizabeth his wife hath bargained and Sold aliened and Enfeoffed and confirmed by these presents doth Grant bargain sell alien Enfeoff and Confirm unto the said William Laws his heirs and Assigns, all that Tract or part of a tract or parcel of Land Situate lying and being in Worcester county called and described as Lot Number Two containing one hundred and thirteen acres of land be the same more or less or by whatsoever name or names the same may be known or called, it being all the same lands which the said James Killey and Elizabeth Killey his wife in Right of the said Elizabeth by the death of her brother Joshua Truitt who died Intestate also all the Lands in the Right of the Elizabeth contained in a deed from John Tilghman and Polly his wife and George Truitt and Levisa his wife to Ann and Elizabeth Truitt bearing date the fourth day of July one thousand (page 169)
thousand eight hundred and thirty five it being the same Elizabeth Truitt who is since become the wife of the said James Killey; Together with all and Singular the buildings improvements ways waters water courses Rights liberties privileges advantages and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any ways appearing or appertaining and all the estate Right title and interest property claims and demand whatsoever at law and in equity of them the said James Killey and Elizabeth Killey his wife of in and to the same described Lands, To Have and To Hold the said herein Described premises with the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said William Laws his heirs and assigns forever, we the said James Killey and Elizabeth Killey his wife for ourselves and our heirs doth hereby warrant and forever defend the before mentioned lands and premises with all and Singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging against the lawful claims of any person or persons in and to the said Land and premises from by or under us or our heirs unto the said William Laws his heirs and assigns forever, In Testimony whereof we the said James Killey and Elizabeth Killey his wife have subscribed our names and affixed our seals the day and year first herein, before mentioned.
