OBITUARY

Milton Alfred Livingston, aged 47 years, died at 9:30 o'clock this morning at the Livingston home, 531 Summit avenue, Ferndale Borough, after an illness lasting about five weeks. He suffered from a complication of diseases, including kidney and liver trouble. Milton A. Livingston was born on the Livingston farm in Paint Township, Somerset County, in 1875, and was a son of the late Alfred W. Livingston, a well-known Civil War veteran who died at the Livingston home a few years ago, and Mrs. Mary (Berkebile) Livingston, of near Windber. Milton A. Livingston and Miss Ida Shaffer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. D. Shaffer, formerly of Paint Township, now of Quakertown, Pa., were married in Scalp Level 25 years ago by the Rev. Mr. Musselman. Se survives him, together with these sons and daughters: Edna, wife of John J. Eash, of Bentleyville, Pa., and David, Byron, Frank, Amelia, Ruth, Samuel, Evelyn and Martha, at home. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters. Mr. Livingston was a member of Mineral Lodge, Knights of Pythias, and worked for some time for the Stahl automobile Company. The funeral will probably take place Tuesday afternoon, with burial in the Berkey Cemetery in Paint Township, Somerset County. ***NOTE: Obit says born in 1875; actually in 1874.
