Barbara Ann Davis passed away peacefully with family by her side on July 20th, 2009 at Sacred Heart Hospital after a one-year courageous battle with lymphoma cancer.
Barbara was a Pensacola native and attended Sacred Heart School and Catholic High School (Class of 1962). Barbara graduated from LSU in 1967 where she earned a Bachelors degree in Chemistry and Biology. Barbara was employed by DOW chemical and later in life worked as a school teacher for several years and a copy editor for a number of companies.

Barbara will be remembered for her love of life and everyone around her. She cherished her family, friends and golden retriever Barkleigh. Barbara was a supporter of Catholic High and the LSU Alumni Association. She also supported local and national chapters of the Humane Society, March of Dimes, American Cancer Society and the Waterfront Rescue Mission.

Barbara was preceded in death by her mother and father, Kathleen and H.E. Joe Brown.
She is survived by her husband, Ken; daughter, Kelly and husband Pete Harrington of Colorado Springs, CO; son, Judd Davis and wife Becki and grandkids, Hunter and Bailey of Montgomery, AL; and brother, John Wilson and sister in-law Carolyn of Atlanta, GA.

Barbara was a loving mother and grandmother. She had countless friends all over the country including a very close group of friends from Catholic High School (Class of 1962).

Barbara fought the battle against cancer with valor and never complained or asked "why me?". She will be sorely missed by family, friends and all who knew her.
