OBITUARY
POET - Helen M., 86, 320 Essex House, Apt. 302, Middletown, formerly of Windber, died April 26, 2003, at Harrisburg Hospital. Daughter of late Willis and Rebecca Weaver. Member of Valley Baptist Church, Middletown. Survived by son, Edward L. Poet, Middletown; brother, Willis Weaver, Windber; sisters, Martha Surkoski and Erma Molar, both of Windber; and Anna Shaffer and Wilma Blasko, both of Harrisburg; and grandchildren, Stevie and Shelby Poet, Middletown. She was the widow of Stanton Poet and was preceded in death by son, Eugene S. Poet; and daughter, Donna Lee Poet. Service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Meek Funeral Home Inc., Windber. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Middletown, and from 1 p.m. until time of service at Meek Funeral Home Inc. Those desiring may make contributions to Mr. Edward L. Poet, 812 Schoolhouse Road, Middletown, Pa. 17057, in her memory.
