OBITUARY

WEAVER -- Alonzo H., 82, Windber R.D. 1, died at 7:45 p.m, April 26, 1964, at Windber Hospital. Born Oct. 30, 1881 , in Paint Township, Somerset County, son of Hiram and Frances (Reed) Weaver. Preceded in death by wife, Ida (Berkey) Weaver, in 1957. Survived by these children: Emory Q., Elgin and Leland, all of Windber R.D. 1; Zelda, wife of Harold Morgart, Somerset; Hope, wife of Charles Carroll, North Platte, Neb.; Hilda, wife of Clair Shaffer, Hooversville R.D . 1; Herschel W., Arlington, Va., and Esther, wife of Ernest Hyde, Erie; also 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Brother of Mrs. Irvin (Carrie) Berkebile, Hooversville R.D. 1, and Dorsey Weaver, Windber R.D. 1. Retired as a letter carrier in 1947. Was rural letter carrier on Windber R.D. 1 for 31 years and life-long member of Berkey Church of the Brethren, Windber, where service will be held at 2 p.m. (EDT) Wednesday, the Rev. Earl Brubaker. Friends received at Meek Funeral Home, Windber, from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
