RIPPLE -- Willard N., 84, Church of the Brethren Home, formerly of 1503 Grove Ave., Windber, died Feb. 17, 1984, at Windber Hospital. Born Jan. 12, 1900, in Paint Borough, son of Calvin W. and Elizabeth (Lehman) Ripple. Preceded in death by parents; wife, former Bessie Wingard; sister, Stella Shaffer, and brother, Jay. Survived by sons, Richard A., married to former Jean Corl, Windber, and Earl W., married to former Dorothy Gerfy, Johnstown; also seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Brother of Forrest, Seward. Member of Scalp Level Church of the Brethren; Sunnehanna Lodge 742, F. & A.M.; Williamsport consistory; and Altoona Jaffa Shrine. Former owner and operator of Ripple's Inn. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Meek Funeral Home, Inc., where service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, the Rev. Edward Carl. Interment, Richland Cemetery.
