David Mitchell Sweeney Buel ¹²²²

  General Notes:

David was adopted by Roger Buel shortly after his marriage to Zola. His name was legally changed to Buel.

David graduated from Hillcrest High School, Country Club Hills, IL in 1976. He married Susan Elliot in 1979. David and Sue left Chicago and settled in Carbondale, IL where David attended junior college and earned his AA degree. He worked as a licensed vocational nurse in southern Illinois for several years before moving to CA to be closer to his parents.

David and Sue were divorced in 1982. David worked for the Veterans Hospital in Palo Alto, Ca and Valley Medical Center in San Jose. He was a psychiatric nurse for many years. In 1985, Dave met Joan Roxbrugh and later they were married (1989). Joan is a school teacher in San Jose. Dave and Joan had a son, Josh, in 1992.

Dave went back to San Jose State University to get his bachelors degree. He graduated in 1998 with a degree in Sociology. He presently is attending San Francisco State University and will graduate with his Masters Degree in Rehabilitative Counseling in 2001. He hopes to work as a college counselor and help students with disabilities.
