OBITUARY
Oliver Key Dies in Kelling Hospital
Oliver Key, 81, of Waverly died Wednesday morning at 7:15 o'clock at the Kelling Hospital in Waverly following a three month illness. Born July 7, 1884 in Hardin he was the son of Edmond Taylor and Catherine E. Anderson Key. He attended schools in Carroll County and lived in Waverly for many years. June 30, 1915 he was united in marriage to Martha Ann Belt. She preceded him in death February 6, 1996. Two sisters and two brothers also preceded him in death. Surviving are three sons and two daughters, Oliver Leroy Key of Waverly, James Edward Key and Mrs. Lola Holmes of Kansas City, Charles Allen Key and Mrs. Margaret Carter of Grandview, one sister, Mrs. Sarah Lane of Waverly, 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was a member of the Waverly Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Waverly Baptist Church. The Rev. Wayne Nelson will conduct the services with interment in the Waverly cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Gibson Funeral Home in Waverly from Friday noon until 1 p.m. Saturday.
