OBITUARY -- Farrar G. Clements
Farrar G. Clements, age 88, of Malvern, died Thursday evening at his home. He was born at Willow, Arkansas on Dec. 1, 1916 to the late Albert and Kizzie Rucker Clements. Reared and educated in Hot Spring County, he was retired from Magnet Cove Barium Corporation. Mr. Clements opened the first car wash in the city on East Page Avenue, and also operated area laundromats. He was a Baptist and a World War 2 Army veteran. Mr. Clements was the widower of the late Cora Bell Lee Clements, to whom he was married on November 1,1946 in Prescott, Arkansas. She died on August 6, 2001.
He is survived by one daughter, Mary Korwes of Malvern; by a sister, Ann Davis of Rogers, Arkansas; by two grandchildren, Timothy and Jeffery Korwes of Malvern; and by three great-grandchildren, Brittany and Brandon Korwes, and Anton James Korwes.
Mr. Clements was also preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday afternoon, September 24, 2005 at two o'clock in the Delight Cemetery, Delight, Arkansas, with Reverend James Batts officiating.
The family will receive friends at J. A. Funk Funeral Home on Friday evening from six until eight o'clock.
