Your site is very interesting. I am the great -great granddaughter of Samuel Daniel W. Davis, son of John. Samuel is a brother to James Madison Griffin Davis.
I have been looking for a connection to Jefferson Davis, for some of the brothers called him Cousin Jeff. I realize this will be hard or impossible to prove.
Thank you for the information on the Davis Family. I will read now what you have written about John Davis's other children. John farmed and preached in the Baptist church in Alabama.

James Madison Griffith Davis was my mother's maternal grandfather. I found your site through his wife Alice Cade. My given name comes from my Uncle Davis named after his mother's maiden name.
Ola Ethel Davis Hill was my grand mother born in Salado, Tx. Any info on her ancesters will be appreciated.

I just found your site and thank you for all of your research! I was able to go back much further on my Grandmother's side (Tennie Mae Stiles).

Aunt Lettie Neeper was my great aunt. I remember visiting her when I was at Aunt Myrt's. I have some information on Peggy and Jack Gullett's side if you ever need it.

I am completely amazed! I have been researching my family for a few years and have hit some stops. I have been able to continue on now with the Ross side with what you have documented! Thr Rev George Ross is my great (x10) grandfather. Keep up the great work!

I am the Mother of Rhonda and Gay Lynn Fockelmann. My maiden name was Carol Jane Hill, daughter of James Davis Hill and Faye Jordan. Ronald F. Fockelmann was my 1st husband. Aaron Burnett Moses was my second husband and I am now married to Frederick Charles Gernand. Let me know if you want dates, etc. I have done some geneology on the Hill's and tried to on the Davis, but hit a brick wall. Joseph A. Hill was my grandfather and Ola Davis Hill was my grandmother. So I am very interested in what you have on the Davis's. Thanks!
