Pauline was married to McHenry "Mack" Treadwell in 1941 in Pine Bluff, Ark. While Mack was in the service, Pauline moved with him to California where she was a civilian employee at the air base. She worked taking machine guns apart and reassembling them in an Air Force training program for gunners. She returned to Malvern when Mack was sent to serve in the South Pacific. She and Mack were married for 42 years, with him preceding her in death in 1986.

Pauline graduated from Willow High School in 1936. She continued her education at Ouachita Baptist College in Arkadelphia, where she graduated in 1950 with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. Mrs. Treadwell helped shape the lives of numerous students in helping them choose lifelong careers.
Pauline was a dedicated member of the Second Baptist Church. She led the Adult Ladies' Sunday School Class for 22 years and served as Sunday School Superintendent of the Children's' Department. She was very active in the church choir and sang in a women's quartet for many years. Pauline was a member of many community clubs and organizations, including the Women's Club of Malvern, Delta Kappa Gamma, Book Club, the Retired Teachers' Organization and the Second Baptist Church Music Club. She was an avid reader, loved to travel and especially loved to shop.
