Nick graduated from Eaton High School, Eaton, Indiana in 1960, attended Purdue University and graduated from Ball State University in 1968. During his schooling at Ball State , he was employed as an accountant by General Motors at the Chevrolet Plant in Muncie, Indiana. Except for a brief stint with an public accounting firm after his graduation from Ball State, Nick has been employed continuously by General Motors. In 1990 Nick was Executive Vice-President/Automotive Components Group/ General Motors in Seoul, South Korea.
