OBITUARY
Robert L. Raney (December 2, 1936 - February 16, 2007)
FORDYCE - Robery L. Raney, 70, of Fordyce, died Friday.
He was born Dec. 2, 1936, in the Bleeker Community, a son of the late Solomon David and Carrie Finley Raney.
He served in the Arkansas National Guard for nine years.
He was a member of the Pine Crest Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
He was a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association and a 32nd degree Mason where he was a member of the EM Lodge Number 363.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Dave Raney.
Survivors include his wife, Elane Raney of Fordyce; a son, Gaylon Raney of Kingsland; two daughters, Laurie Middleton of Holly Springs and Andrea L. Raney of Fordyce; three sisters, Doris Rhodes of Rison, Barbara Harris of Baton Rouge, La., and Verna Poole of Springdale; three grandsons, Jacob O'Mary of Holly Springs, Grant Raney of Magnolia, and Daniel Raney of Kingsland.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel in Fordyce. Burial will be in Tolson Cemeteryt with the Rev. David Dillard officiating.
