OBITUARY: RENCH, Joe E.
Joe E. RENCH, 58, of Tipp City, died suddenly in the emergency room at Stouder Hospital in Troy on Tuesday.
He was born on December 9, 1937, in Arcanum, son of the late Rowland RENCH and Lela (Houdeshel) RENCH. Also deceased are two brothers, Jack and Glenn RENCH.
He was the owner of Rench's Restaruant in Tipp City and is a veteran of the U.S. Marines. He was a Monroe Township Trustee for 16 years and a Tipp City School bus driver for many years. He was a member of the Bruckner Nature Center Board, the Pioneer Rural Electric Board and was ambassador of the Upper Valley Medical Center. He was baseball coach for Dayton A.B.C. and was on the Tip City Chamber of Commerce. He was a graduate of Arcanum High School and was a member of the Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge and was a former Rotarian.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Lambert) Rench, two daughters, Mrs. Mike (Julia) Hurson of Miamisburg, Mrs. Teven (Jennifer) Staas of Tipp City; a son, Michael J. (Michelle) Rench of Dayton; two brotheeers, Harvey Rench of Knoxville, TN, Gene Rench of Arcanum; and one sister, Mrs. Patricia Grote of Celina.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 Sat. at the Ginghamsburg, U.M. church in Tipp City with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery in Tipp City.
