OBITUARY
MARY SUSAN TRUITT

Mary Susan, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Burrell Richardson, was born near where the town of Ethel now stands in Macon County, Missouri, October 5, 1859 and died June 2, 1921, aged sixty-one years, seven months and twenty-seven days.

She was married to William Truitt August 19, 1877 and to this union were born nine children, eight boys and one girl. Five of their children died in infancy. The four sons surviving are John B., Charles B., Joe W. and Coleman W. Charley being sick was absent from the bedside. There are nine grandchildren with A. Leo dying at the age of twenty-three months. Her husband died September 30, 1915.

Mrs. Truitt united with the Chariton Grove Baptist Church about thirty years ago and later moved by letter to the Elmer Baptist church.

Funeral services, on account of church repairs, were held at the Church of the Desciples of Christ Friday afternoon, June 3, by the Rev. E. E. DeLong, pastor of the Community Presbyterian Church of La Plata. Interment in Shirley cemetery near Elmer.
