OBITUARY - Mrs. Lyle L. Hollon, 34 Passed Away Feb. 11

Velma Charmane Hollon, daughter of George and Lillian Barrows was born near Browning, Mo., on July 6, 1929, and passed away at the home east of Browning, February 11, 1964, at the age of 34 years, 7 months and 5 days.

She was united in marriage to Lyle L. Hollon on November 25, 1944, and to this union were born two sons: Billie Lee and Merrill Eugene and two daughters: Ellena Kay and Phyllis Carmilla, all of the home.

She accepted the Lord as her Saviour in 1954, and later joined the Purdin Baptist church and remained ever faithful.

She was preceded in death by her father. She leaves to mourn her passing, the husband and children of her home, her mother: Mrs. Lillian Barrows of Brookfield, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Rayma Lee Prewitt of Kansas City and a host of relatives and friends.

She will always be remembered by her pleasant smile and her kind and loving ways, ever ready to help others in time of need.

A precious one from us is gone
A voice we loved is stilled
A place is vacant in our home
Which never can be filled.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, February 14, 1964, in the Baptist church in Purdin and were conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Kelley of Marceline, and assisted by the Rev. Marsh Dorrell. The song service was by Rev. Kelley, with June Street, accompanist.

Burial was made in the Purdin cemetery under the direction of the Wade Funeral Home.
