Settled near Union City Indiana/Ohio. The state line runs down the middle of Union City.

As a boy, Ezekiel worked in his father's grist mill which stood on the Miami River just over the Shelby/Miami Co. line. He and Elisa lived around Covington, OH until 1873 when they settled on a farm two miles east of Union City, IN. Ezekiel was a carpenter by trade and also a farmer. He was a very religious man and a member of the Brethren Church of Union City.. Ezekiel died from a blow on the head suffered from a falling tree. Eliza was said to be one half Indian. Both Ezekiel and Eliza are buried in the Union City Cemetery.
