13 MAY 1970 - Joined the Fort Osage Fire Department, serving as volunteer fire fighter, advancing through the ranks to the position of Assistance Chief in charge of Ambulance Services, to Chief Dispatcher for the department. Served on the department through five Chiefs and three name changes for the Fire Department, resigning on October 13, 1978.

23 MAY 1973 - Received Certification and National Registry as an Emergency Medical Technician, Ambulance.

James Hinkle Coordinator

A changer in the Osage Fire Protection District Civil Defense Coordinator has been made. The new coordinator is Mr. James Hinkle. He has been with the District for some time and also on the Ambulance crew. Any questions pertaining to Civil Defense can be answered by Mr. Hinkle.
