OBITUARY - George Emmett Hooker was Sick a Few Days

End Came April 6th, Burial At Locust Valley Cemetery

George Emmett Hooker, son of Enoch and Ida Gable Hooker, was born near Browning, Missouri, January 21, 1884.

George family on the Hooker homeplace, later becoming a carpenter and cabinet maker. He went for a short time to New Mexico, where he met and married Mary Pittman. Mary was born in Sweetwater, Texas, the daughter of William and Hannah Pittman. The couple returned to Missouri, shortly after their marriage, in 1912. They remained here the remainder of their lives. George Hooker died in 1932 and was buried in the Locust Valley Cemetery, near the church that was so much a part of his life.
