Bill graduated from Ironton Hish School in 1966 and the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, New York in 1970. In 1976 he earned a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from the Ohio State University and graduated from the Army Command & General Staff School, Leavenworth, Kansas in 1983. He is veteran of the Vietnam War. His wife and children accompanied him to South Korea and Saudi Arabia for overseas assignments. In recent years he has seen service with the Army Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) in Alexandria, VA, and the Joint (Defense Dept.) Space Command in Colorado Springs, CO. Bill will retire 1 May 1992 as a Colonel from the U.S. Army and work for Sparta Corp., a government contractor.
