OBITUARY

LAVERN NEIL 'VERN' ROBINSON

Brewster

Lavern Neil "Vern" Robinson, 53, of Brewster, passed away Sunday evening, Dec. 22, 1996, at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.

Vern was born March 7, 1943, at Tonasket, the son of Norris and Charlotte (Billups) Robinson. He attended schools in Tonasket, Oroville and Brewster.

On Oct. 22, 1960, he married Marlene Fitzhugh at Brewster, where they have made their home.

Vern worked for many years as a carpenter and then as an orchardist before his early retirement. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and many other outdoor activities with his family and friends.

Vern knew the Lord as his personal Savior and was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church at Brewster. He was a special and endearing man who deeply loved and was loved by his family. He was known as "Papa" by his six special grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene, at the home; daughter, Debbie and her husband, Roy Senter of Pullman; daughter, Brenda and her husband, Jim Riggan of Brewster; son, Craig Robinson of Bellingham; six grandchildren, Amber, Amanda, Ashley and Amie Senter and Felicia and Cody Riggan; his mother, Charlotte Finley of Wenatchee; two sisters, Nellie Smith of Portland, Ore., and Gloria Burnett of Spokane; and a brother, Dennis Robinson of Tacoma. Vern leaves behind numerous relatives and friends, and a very special friend, his brother-in-law, Norman Fitzhugh of Goldendale. He was preceded in death by his father, Norris, and a brother, Bruce.

Services are under the direction of Barnes Chapel, Brewster.
