OBITUARY

Pauline Heard Brooks, 85, of Fort Worth, Texas, formerly of Malvern, Ark., a loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2007, in Fort Worth, Texas.Pauline was born Jan. 29, 1922, in Leola, Ark., the daughter of Edward A. and Nettie Mae Heard of Lono, Ark. She was a member of the Ridglea Baptist Church and an active member of the Celebration Singers Choir. Pauline was a homemaker, artist, seamstress and a Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched.Pauline was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Dennis S. Brooks.She is survived by two daughters, Paula "Denise" Davis of Forth Worth, Texas, and Sharron "Dianne" Warren and husband, Jerry of Nacogdoches, Texas; and one granddaughter, Keri Lyn Warren and husband, Bryan Busch of North Richmond Hills, Texas.Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2007, at Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until service time Monday. Interment will be in Lono Cemetery, Lono, Ark.Memorials may be made to Lono Cemetery Association, 1321 Fowler Street, Malvern, AR 72104.Arrangements are under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home of Malvern, Ark. (501) 332-2711 Anthony Douglas Turner Mays Funeral services for Anthony Douglas Turner Mays, age 38, of Hot Springs, Ark., formerly of Malvern, Ark., who died Monday, April 16, 2007, at St. Joseph's Mercy Health Center, will be Friday, April 20, 2007, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. C.D. Hart Sr., pastor officiating.Burial will be in Perla Cemetery with Brandon's Mortuary of Malvern, Ark., in charge of arrangements.Anthony Douglas Turner Mays was born Nov. 29, 1968 in Malvern, Ark., to the parentage of Joe and Willie Mae Mays. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he was an active member of the Celestial Choir. Anthony was a 1988 graduate of Malvern High School and employed at ConAgra's Poultry Plant in El Dorado, Ark.Anthony was predeceased by his father, Joe Mays.Survivors are two sons, Caliph and Altonio Turner Mays of Arkadelphia, Ark.; one daughter, Catherine Marie Turner Mays of Arkadelphia, Ark.; his mother, Willie Mae Mays of Malvern, Ark.; six brothers, Joe Nathan (Joyce) Smith of Malvern, Ark.; Michael Ray Turner and David Turner both of Jessup, Md., Melvin (Kim) Turner of Tacoma, Wash., Donald (Velinda) Turner of Hope, Ark., and Joseph (Lisa) Turner of Little Rock, Ark; and three sisters, Marsha Turner of Tacoma, Wash., Brenda Kay Turner of Dallas, Texas, and Carolyn Turner of Laurel, Md.Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, April 19, 2007 from 5-7 p.m. in the chapel of Brandon's Mortuary, Malvern, Ark.
