OBITUARY - Services Were Held at the Methodist Church

Gladys Margaret, daughter of Granville and Martha Barrows, was born near Browning, Missouri, on July 21, 1894, and passed away at Vineyard Park Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, on August 18, 1947. She was united in marriage with Ray Myers, in 1914. To this union one son, Olen Duane, was born on April 19, 1919.

On July 17, 1947, she was married to Harry Peterson of Kansas City, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother and is survived by her husband, son, one granddaughter, three sisters, Mae Hubbard, Hale, Mo., Dora Atkins, Albuquerque, N. M., Veda Warren, Browning, Mo., three brothers, Ben and Erwin of Purdin, George of Laclede; also three half brothers, Marvin of Linneus, Fred of Ness City, Kan., and Everett of Coulee City, Wash.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, August 21 from the Methodist Church in Browning, conducted by the Rev. Mrs. Christy of Linneus. The song service was by James Williams, Mrs. Gerald Wade, Mrs. Jerry Jennings and Merril Peterson withMrs. Merril Peterson at the piano. Bearers were her nephews: Devon, Granville and Roland Barrows, Carl and Edwin Barrows and Russell Barlow. Burial was made in the Hoover cemetery under the direction of the Wade Funeral Service.

Those attending the services from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Noel Hubbard, Mr. and Mrs. Rollie Barlow of Hale, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Foltz, Chilliocothe; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Barrows, Monroe City; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wilte, Brookfield; Mrs. Edna Taylor, Shreveport, La.; Mr. Swanson and Mr. and Mrs. Swanson of Chicago.
