bullet  General Notes:

In the 1950's Jesse and Harriett owned for several years a restaurant named "J O's Place". Jesse later became the Postmaster in Steele, MO and also Co-owner and Co-Editor of the weekly newspaper "The Steele Enterprise". In 1957, the Weaver family moved to Arizona, where Jesse received his Bachelor's in Foreign Trade at the American Institute for Foreign Trade. After finishing his degree, the family moved to Gaunajuato, Mexico where Harriett and Jesse attended courses at the University of Guanajuato. In Paraguay Jesse managed coffee farms for several American and Canadian owners and then gradually bought out the land. As a coffee farmer, Jesse Weaver employed many hundreds of people. His fairness and respect for all persons made him become a very respected personality in the city of Pedro Juan Caballero and all of Paraguay. Later the family moved to Curitiba, Brazil where Jesse established a soluble coffee industrial plant. When regional changes in climate, due to extensive deforestation made coffee no longer profitable, the Weavers began farming and raising cattle. 1541
