John married Jane Augusta Washington, daughter of Colonel, Augustine "Austin" Washington Jr. and Ann Aylett. (Jane Augusta Washington was born about 1762 in Wakefield, Westmoreland, Virginia, USA ¹⁵⁴⁴ and died about 1833 in Virginia, USA ¹⁵⁴⁴.)
