Lewis Layne "Layne" Neeper

  General Notes:

Lewis Layne Neeper graduated from Easton Area High School on 15 June 1978 and went to Baylor University. Layne received his Bachelor of Arts degree in December 1982, and in Muskogee, Oklahoma married Mary Carol Juergens on 13 August 1983. Carol was born 18 December 1959 in Fort Worth, Texas and from the age of nine until her high school graduation lived with her missionary parents in Hong Kong. She finished Baylor University with Layne with a Bachelor of Education degree. In the fall of 1983, Layne started his Master’s work at Texas Tech as a Teaching Assistant. Carol taught in the Lubbock public schools. In 1986, Layne obtained his degree majoring in English. He received another teaching engagement at Penn State that enabled him to get his PhD in January 1992 while Carol continued to teach in the public schools of State College, Pennsylvania. It was in State College that Leland Lowell was born on 17 July 1991. Since the fall of 1993, Layne has been on the faculty of Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky.
