DORA NOLA HOOKER OBITUARY

Dora Nola Hooker, daughter of John and Margaret Hooker, of Mercer County, was born in Sullivan County, Missouri, September 14, 1867 and died at her home in Sullivan County, August 19, 1902. She married L. M. Neely, October 9, 1888, and was a kind and loving wife, a devoted mother, loved by all who knew her.

Mrs. Neely was converted and united with the Methodist Episcopal Church in the fall of 1899 and lived a true Christian life to the end. She leaves a husband and five children, father, mother, three sisters and four brothers who deeply feel the loss of one so devoted and true. Two sisters and one brother having gone on before.

In childhood and womanhood she was obedient and submissive, as a daughter she was ever ready to administer to the wants and wishes of father and mother. As a wife she always sought to look upon the bright side of everything in life and was a source of comfort to husband and children beyond comparison.

Her illness was stomach and malarial troubles of about four months duration, during which time she never murmured.
