bullet  Research Notes:

From the papers of the late Leslie P. Dryden housed at the Nabb Research Center for Delmarva History and Culture

Dryden says many members of George's family were in Wicomico area whereas Belfast, the Job I family tract, was in Buckingham and Worcester Hundreds in 1783, Buckingham lying between Berlin and Snow Hill. Mulberry Grove was not far from present day Snow Hill and Forlorn Hope was not far from Mulberry Grove. Members of several branches moved into Delaware.

George was a planter. He was married by 1672; land patent issued to George and Eleanor (Meredith) Truitt. In 1685 he sold land in Accomac County, VA which he had inherited from his father. In 1689 George purchased 600 acres of Mulberry Grove. His Will mentions a grandson, Philip, son of Philip, deceased, and sons George and Samuel.
