OBITUARY
HOOK -- Michael, 73, Windber, died Dec. 7, 1999, at his home. Born Sept. 11, 1926, in Ashtola, son of the late William and Nancy (Harconish) Hook. Also preceded in death by wife, former Anna Mae Weaver, and three brothers and three sisters. Survived by these children: Bonnie, wife of Stanley Green, Dowagiac, Mich.; Trudel, wife of John Leary, Michigan; and Michael, Houtzdale; also six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Brother of Josephine Waltmire, Rose Lucas, Nancy Washko, and Steve Hook, all of Windber; also survived by several nieces and nephews; and devoted friend, Dee Chicarell, Windber. Army veteran of World War II. Member of the American Legion; VFW; Polish Falcons; and Argument Club, all of Windber; and Windber Church of the Brethren , where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, the Revs. Royden Airesman and Kermit Jones officiating. Interment, Berkey Cemetery, with military graveside rite by Windber VFW , Post 4795. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 an d 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Meek Funeral Home Inc., Windber , and from 10:30 until time of service Friday at the church.
