Another name for Keith is Nelson Rolf King.434 General Notes: Keith grew up on a farm near Kingfisher, OK. He enlisted in the Navy Reserves during his junior year in high school. He entered the 'regular' NROTC program at the University of Kansas, graduating in June 1960 and commissioned. He served 30 years in the Navy: about twelve years at sea (5 destroyers of which the last two he commanded), a year in Vietnam, schooling which included postgraduate school [resulting in a Masters degree in financial management] and about fifteen years in financial management positions. His final tour in the Navy was as comptroller at the Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo. He retired in the grade of Captain, United States Navy. After retirement he joined the local government of Yolo County California as the director of General Services. He retired at the end of 1999.
