OBITUARY - Morris J. Moody
Final tribute will be paid to Morris John Moody, 53, former Woodland resident, at funeral services to be conducted at 10 a.m., today (Thursday) at Kraft Brothers chapel.
Interment will follow in Monument Hill Memorial Park near Woodland.
Mr. Moody died unexpectedly at 10:25 p.m. Monday in Woodland Memorial hospital where he had been a patient for several weeks.
Born in Garden Grove, Calif., Mr. Moody came to Woodland with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Moody, about 40 years ago. He was a graduate of Woodland high school and a veteran of World War II.
Some 12 years ago Mr. Moody and his family moved to Natomas, where he was engaged in farming operations. He was a self-employed farmer for about 30 years.
Mr. Moody was a member of Bethel Temple in Sacramento. He also was a member of the Sacramento county farm bureau, president of District 1000 Recreation association and vice president of District 1000 farm bureau.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn, and his two sons, Robert and Edwin, at the family home; three brothers, Orson of Lincoln, Sam of Gaston, Ore., and David of Sacramento, all formerly of Woodland; a sister, Rose Moody of Davis, also formerly of Woodland, and a half-sister, Mrs. Helen Harris of Riverside.
