OBITUARY

WEAVER -- Dwight O., 77, Elton, died March 23, 2002, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Oct .19, 1924, in Elton, son of Ortha and Rose (Lehman) Weaver. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Donna Heming; and brother, Jack. Survived by wife, former Dorothy Lee; children, Terry, Elton; Sharon, Sidman; and Diana, Tire Hill; stepchildren, John and Jesse Dugan; grandchildren, Christopher Heming and Michael Weaver; and great-grandchildren, Ashley, Amanda and Christopher. Brother of Donald, married to former Twila Levergood, Texas; Dorothy, wife of Glenn Hershberger, Richland; Duane, and wife, Ileen Rauschmeier, Phoenix; and Denise, wife of James Hayes, Johnstown. Also survived by close family friend , Karen Soliday. World War II Army veteran. Retired as a sampler in the Metallurgical Department, Johnstown Plant, Bethlehem Steel Corp. Member of Scalp Level Church of the Brethren. Life member of Menoher Post 155 VFW. He greatly enjoyed working for his uncle at the Herman O. "Dutch" Weaver Farm, Richland Township, in his earlier years. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Scalp Level Church of the Brethren, the Rev. Ronald St. Clair. Interment, Berkey Cemetery. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at The Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland , and one hour prior to service at church.
