OBITUARY - Services Tuesday for Ocel Brown
Mrs. Alta Ocel Brown, 83, former Purdin resident, died Sunday at Pershing Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 27, 1896, in Browning, to Elortus and Dora Hooker Neely. She married Henry Brown Sept. 22, 1914. He died April 2, 1971.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Betty White, Oak Grove; tow sons, John W. Brown, Apple Valley, Calif., and Henry L. Brown, Shawnee, Kan.; ten grandchildren including Larry Lambert, who was raised in their home; and 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Lorene Miller, Brookfield; Mrs. Annabel Bundies and Mrs. Carrie Christenson, both of Linneus; a brother, John Neely, Brookfield.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Purdin United Methodist Church, led by the Rev. Robert Gant. Burial will be in Purdin Cemetery.
Friends may call at Wright Funeral Home, Linneus. The family will recieve(sic) friends after 7 p.m.
She was a member of the Browning United Methodist Church. 323
