Moved to Ft. Monmouth, NJ for a year and then to Newark, DE. Purchased a house on Deerfield Drive and lived in Newark for three years. Jack was with the U.S. Army ROTC dept at the University of Delaware and Joyce worked for Hercules, Inc. in Wilmington for the last two years. In July 1973, moved to Anchorage, AK. Lived at Ft. Richardson for approximately 8 months before purchasing a house at 4115 Kingston Drive, Anchorage, AK.

In Anchorage, worked for Motor Home City Sales and Service for two years; Mechanical Contractors, Inc. for seven years; and in 1986 moved to Gaston & Associates, Inc., General Contractors as Controller. In 1994, purchased 6% of the stock and elected Executive Vice President of Gaston & Associates, Inc.

Active in National Association of Women in Construction - 1981-82 President of local Anchorage Chapter 197- received 20 year pin in 1998.
