OBITUARY -- James R. DUPPSTADT, 1998, Stoystown, Somerset County, PA

DUPPSTADT James R. Duppstadt, 61, of Lincoln Hwy, Stoystown (Buckstown), died Nov. 6, 1998 at home. Born July 28, 1937 in Stonycreek Twp. son of Luella (Stutzman) Duppstadt of Buckstown and the late Virgil P. Duppstadt. Survived by his wife of 38 years the former Carole Benning, and these children: Melody, married to Mark Wetmiller, Shelburne, Vt.; Mark, married to the former Terry Trachok; Matthew, married to the former Stacey King; and Micheal, married to the former Robin Menkis, all of Buckstown; and Michelle, married to John Kimmel, Friedens; and grandchildren Lindsey and Madison Wetmiller, Emily, Jacob, Amamda, Samantha, Abby, Zachary, Benjamin and Katherine Duppstadt; Jonathon and Michael Kimmel. Brother of Jean Trella, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Larry, Gaithersburh, Md; Barry, Charlotte, N.C.; and Ronald, Cary N.C. Jim was a very didicated family man. He was an avid hunter outdoorsman, and horseman. 1955 Graduate of Shanksville-Stonycreek H.S. and served in the U.S. Army. Owner of Duppstadt's Country Store, Buckstown. Employed by Latrobe Construction Co. Member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Buckstown; Somerset Lodge 358 F.&A.M.; Somerset Co. Sheriff's Posse; and Life member of N.R.A. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Viewing from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Buckstown, Rev. James McCormick. Interment Buckstown Cemetery. The Jim Duppstadt Memorial Fund has been established at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Lincoln Hwy., Stoystown, PA 15563. Your contributions will be used to support various children's activities within the Church.
