General Notes: Occupation: gentleman, captain, major, surveyor, attorney, sheriff & justice of Westmoreland County, Virginia. In 1703 Queen Ann recognized him as "first citizen" of Westmmoreland County and President of the Justices. He is buried at his inherited estate of 1,400 acres.
