A few years later they took up residence on this heritage farm, in a log house which has been gone for many years. This is undoubtedly the original log house which Catherina (1795-1854) maintained as a widow after Jacob's death.

1870: The main house which now stands was built in 1870. A great portion of this homestead is known as the Lambert tract of land along Callendar Creek, to be exact, 104 acres and 149 perches and the house allowance. This property was an original Land (grant (or indenture)) issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to Samuel Lambert and dated the 6th day of January AD 1794. Other deeds adding parcels of land to this farm are many, one of which was issued to Joseph Kirkbride in the year 1794 AD on the third day of September and signed by John Penn, Esq. 1225
