OBITUARY-The Blade Tuesday April 17, 1973
Mrs. Hazel C. White, 81, of 2535 Schroeder Ct., died today in Toledo Hospital. She formerly lived in the 200 block of Bigelow Street for 17 years. Surviving are her husband, Gordon B.; sons, Ralph and Eugene; daughters, Mrs. Gwendolyn Jaegle and Mrs. Ardith Valiton, and sister, Mrs. Fern Daugherty. Services will be Thursday at 10am in the Blanchard Mortuary where the body will be after 7 tonight.

Hazel's father was a farmer and had some money...had horse carriages...wore gloves to church...prosperous family. Her father died and left them well off. Hazel's mother remarried and the new husband started going through and tried to molest Hazel. Hazel's mother sent her away to a school and divorced stepfather shortly thereafter. 309
